We are real AIADMK: EPS hails HC verdict
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said that the Delhi High Court verdict on Two Leaves symbol has proved “We are the real AIADMK.”

Speaking to media in Tirupur, after laying the foundation stone for Athikadavu-Avinashi project, the Chief Minister said that it is a good verdict. “The Delhi High Court has proved that we are the real AIADMK,” he said.
“Many thought of destroying the AIADMK. Some tried to even take over the party and tried to create a lot of hurdles, but the court has delivered justice,” he said.
Stating that there is no possibility to go for an appeal against the verdict, the Chief Minister accused TTV Dhinakaran for moving the court with the backing of the DMK to create trouble to the AIADMK.
“But we produced proper evidence to prove that we are the real AIADMK,” he said.
Both Sasikala and Dhinakaran had moved the Delhi High Court challenging the November 23, 2018, Election Commission order allotting the Two Leaves symbol to the ruling AIADMK camp.
Replying to a query on bypolls to 21 Assembly seats, the CM said that the AIADMK is prepared to face it whenever it is announced. “I hope it would be held along with the Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
DMK a ‘family company’
Moreover, Palaniswami termed the DMK not as a party, but a ‘family company.’ “Unlike the DMK, the AIADMK is a democratic organisation. Even a common person can become a leader in the AIADMK,” he said.
Stating that Tirupur will transform into small Japan in another two years on the completion of Smart City and other projects, the Chief Minister said, “Stalin, who is touring many parts of the state is blaming that no projects are coming for the state. He calls the AIADMK government as anti-people. It looks like Stalin is purposefully confusing the people, yet people are clear.”
Further, the CM said, “all the dreams of Stalin have not been realised. He thought the AIADMK government will fall following the demise of Jayalalithaa. Then, he was counting this government to end in ten days and six months. But we have successfully completed two years and have stepped into the third year with the support of people.”
