Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, his cabinet colleagues and leaders of alliance parties continued their indefinite dharna in front of the Raj Nivas for the fourth day on Saturday.
The agitation was to condemn the Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi for allegedly blocking people welfare schemes in the Union territory, for fulfilling 39 demands put forth by the Chief Minister and to protest against the unilateral decision taken by Ms Bedi on the helmet rule issue.
Talking to news persons at the dharna venue, the Chief Minister alleged that the Lt Governor right from her early days of tenure indulged in blocking people welfare schemes here. Files are being delayed and she was misusing her powers.
As many as 39 demands were put forth to her for fulfilling it on February 7. However, at a time when the peoples representatives are on a dharna here, the Lt.Governor had not bothered and left for New Delhi.
She is ignoring the people of Puducherry after getting salary from the tax money of the people here and also Ms Bedi is participating in private functions, he said.
