CBSE’s new initiatives for boards, roll numbers to help locate centres

Accordingly, a mobile app, which was newly created by the board, will help students use their roll numbers to locate their centres on Google map. The CBSE, in its circular on Wednesday, said that geo tagged time-based tracking and monitoring confidential material will be used in the examination. The board also launched Tetra - Theory Evaluation Trend Analysis support system, which will facilitate real time evaluation monitoring and also allow analysis and visualisation of scoring patterns by students in different regions, cities and across different sets. 

The CBSE also developed an online examination centre management system, implemented with a view to get real time exams centre related information. On the outreach and dissemination programme initiative, the CBSE said webcast of presentation on instructions, new initiatives on conduct of board examination 2019 and evaluation to all 21,400 CBSE affiliated schools was attended by 1,000 principals and teachers. The board added that letters were also addressed to parents for not making their children too stressful, being proud of their achievements and keeping their moral high. 

Accordingly, the letters also give dos and don’ts to parents on facilitating their children, such as reaching examination centre before 10 am, not believing in rumours and keeping children away from social media during exams. For this academic year, 18.27 lakh candidates are appearing for board exams. Similarly, 12.87 lakh students studying in Class 12 will also appear for the exams, which will be held in the first week of March 2019.
