Highlights of Tamil Nadu budget 2019-20
The Annual budget for 2019-20 was presented by Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who holds the Finance Ministry.

Aiming to woo voters ahead of the Lok sabha election, Edappadi K Palaniswami-led Tamil Nadu government came out with the populist announcement. TN deputy Chief Minister & Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam presented the annual budget for 2019.
State government's revenue is Rs 1.97 lakh crore. Expenditure is Rs 2.12 lakh crore.

A gift hamper to every family (including Rs 1,000 cash component) with a ration card for the harvest festival of Pongal (in January) was among the announcements he had made. Â
