DMK likely to plan floor strategy today
The principal opposition party DMK is likely to convene a meeting of its MLAs at Anna Arivalayam on Friday. DMK whip R Chakrapani is likely to issue a statement summoning his MLAs for the meeting most likely to be held at KalaignarArangam in Anna Arivalayam on Friday.

Unlike the usual MLAs meeting convened on the opening day of an Assembly session, Friday’s meeting would discuss budget as well as political scores to be settled in the House. Significantly, a formal announcement from the DMK high command has not been made yet. Whip R Chakrapani is expected to issue a statement on Friday morning, a party source said. The DMK will target the AIADMK on sharp decline in investment in the state even after conducting two editions of Global Investor’s Meet (GIM).
The party would also rake up unemployment and failure to get necessary flood relief fund from the Centre in the House. Leader of Opposition MK Stalin has already given indications of their strategy for the session in his statements daring Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami to set “Presidential approval for TN NEET legislation” as pre-condition for alliance with the BJP. Stalin also cited reported 21 per cent decline in foreign investment in the state and wondered if they had conducted two editions of multi-crore GIM only to ensure fall in investment?
