Woman with severed body parts in Perungudi dump yard identified

Police on Wednesday identified the woman whose severed body parts were found in a dump yard at Perungudi as a native of Thoothukudi.
Earlier, posters of with photographs of the body parts that had tattoos of dragon, Sivan and Parvathi were circulated. One of the legs has the mark of a toe ring which was removed.
In January, the conservancy staff at the dump yard in Perungudi noticed the body parts in a gunny bag when a garbage lorry from Power House area in Kodambakkam was disposing of waste. After the autopsy at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, police said that the woman could be in mid-thirties and the limbs were chopped from the body after the woman was killed.
