Don't avenge JACTO-GEO members: KS Alagiri to TN government

The Congress leader accused the AIADMK government of being completely indifferent towards plight of teachers and protesters and he strongly condemned the ruling party saying, "Tamil Nadu government shouldn't take revenge on JACTO-GEO members". 

TN Government should resume talk with JACTO-GEO members to sort out the issue, he added.  

JACTO-GEO demanded restoration of old pension scheme for government employees, pay for secondary grade teachers on par with Central government staffs, and payment of 21-month arrears of pay commission recommendation.

The State government suspended more than 500 government employees and teachers. More than a lakh of employees received notice issued by their respective departments for taking part in protest.
