Kanimozhi endorses Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker’s attack on BJP rule

Borrowing from his late father M Karunanidhi, who had called former Prime Minister AB Vajpayee, “The right man in the wrong party,” Kanimozhi, asked about Thambidurai’s charges on the ruling BJP, said, “I am only reminded of our leader Kalaignar’s statement. DMK has been levelling this criticism all along against the Modi regime. Only now someone in the ruling AIADMK has understood that and spoken thus. He (Thambidurai) should make the other leaders in AIADMK comprehend this.”

On the ongoing stand-off between TMC leader Mamata Banerjee and the BJP led Centre, she said that it was happening not only in WB, but all non-BJP ruled states. The ruling BJP has unleashed state sponsored oppression in all non-BJP ruled states. “Mamata Banerjee is fighting the unconstitutional acts of the BJP. Her party members said the issue would be raked up in the Parliament. All opposition parties will voice support to them,” the DMK women’s wing secretary told media persons at the city airport before leaving to the national capital.
