UT Cong to protest against Akhila Bharatha Hindu Maha Sabha today
The Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee would register strong protest against the Akhila Bharatha Hindu Maha Sabha (ABHMS) and the Utter Pradesh government, here on Monday, for burning an effigy of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.

PCC president and PWD minister A Namasivayam in a release here on Sunday said that ABHMS has burnt an effigy of Gandhiji in Uttar Pradesh. This action of the ‘Hindutva’ group which encourage separatism in the country need to be condemned strongly and added that no Indian citizen would accept this act.
This action of the Hindutva group had cast a shame on the country as a whole, Namasivayam said and added that it is really painful that the one who believed and strived for non-violence was denigrated. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi failed to initiate any steps to arrest the culprit who was involved in the heinous act. Hence, PCC would hold a demonstration in front of the head post office here on Monday , he added.
