Senthil Balaji vows to put all might behind DMK
Former minister V Senthil Balaji, who convened the first meeting of party workers in Karur after joining the DMK made a show strength gathering on Friday and reiterated that farmers would make the district as a DMK fortress.

Addressing the gathering, Senthil Balaji, who acclaimed DMK president MK Stalin as the only leader who voices for the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu, said, Stalin has been bravely criticising the Centre for its anti-Tamil Nadu stand. He blamed the state government led by Edappadi K Palaniswami of keeping quite even after several projects against the interest of the people of Tamil Nadu has been brought out by the Centre.
He also charged the Centre of protecting the state government.
“The Palaniswami government is afraid of conducting the local body polls as well as the bypolls for the vacant seats as they are aware that they willlose everything,” Senthil Balaji said.
He predicted that in addition to 21 vacant seats for Assembly, 11 seats belonging to O Panneerselvam’s faction would also be vacant and all the 32 seats would certainly be won by the DMK.
He reiterated that whoever contests from his Aravakurichi segment would win with the maximum margin and the cadre are ready to put in their hard work.
Meanwhile, he criticised Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai and charged that he had brought nothing to Karur.
“Even the Prime Minister himself use to respect him (Thambidurai) for his post but he never used his clout to bring developments even to his home constituency. He did not even give free education to poor student in his educational institution,” Senthil Balaji said.
In the meantime, he promised to give even his life for the success of the DMK and would strive to make the district a DMK fortress.
