EPS holding GIM 2 to loot money via commission, alleges Stalin

While the investments in the first Global Investors Meet (GIM) have not been materialised, the second meet has been called by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami just to loot money, claimed DMK president MK Stalin, who participated in the grama sabha meet organised in Karur on Tuesday.

Addressing the participants of the grama sabha organised by the party, Stalin said, the first Global Investors Meet was organised by the late chief minister J Jayalalithaa and they declared that an investment of Rs 2.42 lakh crore was attracted and promised employment to several lakh youth would be achieved. “But later, Edappadi K Palaniswami-led government had announced in the Assembly floor that the investment of around Rs 80,000 crore only was received actually and there is no sign of employment to the youth. Four years have been completed since the first meet, but nothing has been materialised,” he claimed.

“In this situation, the second meeting has been scheduled just to get commission and loot money and nothing else,” Stalin charged.

Pointing out that there are 12,617 panchayats in the state, Stalin said the DMK has scheduled to conduct gama sabha meets through which the agenda of the AIADMK’s cruel and corrupt government has been explained to the people and the autocratic government would be thrown off soon.

At the same time, the fascist government at the Centre should also be removed. The meeting which was inaugurated by him has been continued by other leaders in the party and DMK has decided to conduct the meet in all the pachayats, Stalin said.

Meanwhile, Stalin pointed out that his political career has commenced from the rural areas. He recalled that he had travelled in all the panchayats across the state and asked the Chief Minister whether he has visited any interior village except his home village Edappadi.  The grama sabha meets would make a full stop for the present government.

“We are going to face the Lok Sabha polls and I think the Assembly polls also would be held along with the elections as the results of the case against 11 MLAs belonging to Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam’s group is still pending in the court. So OPS conducted a yagna at Fort St George recently to evade it,” claimed Stalin.
