Athawale asks AMMK, AIADMK to join NDA
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale on Tuesday called upon the AIADMK and the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) to be a part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Talking to reporters after holding a review meeting with the officials of the Puducherry administration on the schemes of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India here, Athawale said both the AIADMK and the AMMK should join the National Democratic Alliance to fulfill the wishes of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa for a strong front.
This will be beneficial for Tamil Nadu, he said, adding that AMMK deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran could get a Cabinet posting in case the alliance wins, which will be beneficial for the people of the state.
