An FIR registered by CBI- special crimes, Chennai, based on a Madras High Court order, says it had taken over the case registered at Mangalam police station in June 2013 based on a complaint from P Paramasivam, a farmer from Gopalapuram in Melpalananthal village in Tiruvannamalai taluk.
Pachaiammal, daughter of Paramasivam and Usha, went missing on June 13, 2013 from Mangalam Gandhi Matriculation school where she was studying in UKG.
In his complaint, Paramasivam said he received a phone call from school at 1.55 pm asking him if he had taken his daughter back home.
According to him, the school authorities said his daughter had eaten lunch and was rest ing in the classroom when the teacher left for lunch. When the teacher took attendance after returning, the child was not found, Paramasivam said in his complaint.
Paramasivam then rushed to the school. There he came to know that his daughter went outside during the lunchbreak and she went missing after that.
The CBI is probing the case suspecting kidnap or abducting in order to murder. The Madras High Court had transferred the case to the central agency in July 2018.Â
