A division bench comprising Justice M Venugopal and Justice S Vaidyanathan while noting that as already observed it is open for the authorities to seek police assistance, said, “It is needless to mention that coercive shall be taken by disconnecting forthwith the electricity supply and water and sewerage connections to the premises in question, till the order of this court dated March 19, 2018, as affirmed by the Supreme Court, is implemented.”
Based on this, the bench on impleading the Commissioner, Coimbatore Corporation, Superintending Engineer, TANGEDCO and two others directed them to disconnect the electricity supply and water and sewerage connections.

The plea has been posted to February 4, 2019 for reporting compliance. As per the case, the land belonging to NTC was encroached to an extent of 170.5 sq ft at NTC Officers Colony, Coimbatore.
