Upset over extra class, boy commits suicide in Pondy

According to police, Vishnu was studying in a private school and failed to clear two subjects in the half-yearly examinations. Following this, extra care was given to Vishnu and he was forced to stay in school after the regular school hours for extra classes.

He was not satisfied with this arrangement and out of stress, he allegedly hanged himself in his house.

His sister, Uma, who came to their house in the evening was shocked to see him hanging. With the help of neighbours, she brought him down and took Vishnu to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Muthialpet police registered a case. Meanwhile, Bharath (29) a car driver, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at Villianur near here last evening. It is stated that Bharath took the extreme step after his mother scolded him for not properly attending works. Villianur police are 

investigating.

The body of a 40-year-old woman was found amidst the garbage on the by-pass road between Karuvadikuppam, here to Kottakuppam of Tamil Nadu on Friday.

According to police those involved in pig rearing found the body and informed the police. Kottakuppam police rushed to the spot, rescued the body and sent it to a private medical college for post-mortem. Police suspect that she might have been raped and murdered as there were injuries on the face and hands of the semi-nude body. Police registered a case and started investigation.
