In a petition submitted to Law Minister CVe Shanmugam, the students said that they joined the college in 2016 and there are 108 students in the batch. When they joined, the college had MCI recognition and state’s essentiality certificate.
However, after last August, the MCI citing shortage of infrastructure cancelled the approval of the college. After the cancellation of MCI recognition, they had gone to the Madras High Court for appeal and got an order for admission. The students said that if they were admitted in govt medical colleges at the earliest, they can continue their studies without break.
