Antyodaya express to Santragachi cancelled
Poor patronage has resulted in the Southern Railway cancelling multiple services of the Antyodaya Express plying between Chennai Central and Santragachi.

Trains scheduled to leave Chennai Central on January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27 and March 6 have been cancelled. Train in the return direction scheduled on January 7, 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, 19, 18, 25 and March 4 have also been cancelled.
Meanwhile, Principal advisor of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, E Sreedharan, better known as “Metro Man”, on Monday urged the officers of Southern Railway (SR) to adhere to punctuality, integrity, professional competence and accountability at work.
Sreedharan, who delivered a guest lecture at the zonal headquarters, said that adhering to integrity, punctuality, professional competence, accountability and social responsibility would help in completing the assigned work in stipulated time.
The metro man, who was credited for changing the face of public transport in the country, emphasized on team work to ensure speedy execution of projects. General Manager of Southern Railway R K Kulshrestha and others attended the lecture.
