Man’s body found with injuries, police quiz five including son

In a swift follow-up action, police picked up five persons, including the son of the deceased, for inquiry. Police said that Sunderaraman (58), a farmer and a resident of Kilravanthavadi village near Thandarampattu, who went to his farmland to water crops, did not return home for a longtime. So, relatives searched for the farmer in various places andfinally found him lying dead on the farmland.

Thandarampattu police, who reached the spot after getting information from relatives, during investigation found cut marks on various parts of Sunderaraman’s body. Suspecting foul play, police registered a case and sent the body to Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Later, police picked up Vignesh, son of the deceased and Ramu, a neighbor, for questioning. Three other residents, who frequently visited Sunderaraman, were also picked up for inquiry.
