PMK on Saturday demanded that the Tamil Nadu government convene an all-party meeting to discuss the Mekedattu issue raging between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Besides, MLAs and MPs of all parties in the state should join together and stage a demonstration in front of Parliament on the issue, president of PMK youth wing and MP Anbumani Ramdoss told reportes here.
He said Prime Minister Modi not visiting the cyclone-affected areas of Tamil Nadu was a betrayal of the people.
Asked about Centre's decision on snooping on people's data, Anbumani said this would eventually lead to snooping on political parties, particularly when elections were nearing.
Demanding the Tamil Nadu government to immediately implement the long-pending Athikadavu-Avanashi groundwater recharge project, he said the government may announce the implementation of the project during election time.
On farmers protesting against the erection of high-power transmission lines in their farmland, Anbumani urged the government to first hold talks with the ryots and decide thereafter.
