“The process of recruitment takes too long – almost one and half years – since applications are submitted. Therefore, the recruitment procedure will be hastened from notice of the next examination”, a senior official from TNPSC told DT Next on Tuesday.

The time duration is calculated from the beginning of the application process up to shortlisting of candidates after the personnel interview rounds come to an end. The decision to reduce the duration of this recruitment process was taken in a recent meeting held at TNPSC in this regard.

Process will be hastened soon after the vacancy notice which will be available on the website. “We will also reduce window that candidates have to submit applications”, he added.

The exam will be conducted sooner and that results will be generated within one month as opposed to the current three-month process. Stating that the TNPSC had already taken steps to accelerate the recruitment process, the official said the online registration for the next exam, for the post of District Educational, started on December 10 with a January 9 deadline and the exam for the post will be conducted in February itself.

The selection of candidates will be based on a written examination and oral test or interview. “All this will be done in a span of six months”, the official added. He said that the results of the oral test of the selected candidates will be published on the TNPSC bulletin within a week.

“The grievance redressal cell in TNPSC will provide information through various facilities to candidated,” he added.
