Now, Dairy Minister hits out at Modi
Dairy Minister Rajenthra Bhalaji on Sunday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not visiting Cyclone Gaja affected areas in the state.
Chennai
“Will Modi visit the cyclone affected areas only if 10 lakh people had died in the natural calamity. What more a bigger calamity is needed for him to visit. Is Modi not a Prime Minister to Tamil Nadu,” he questioned.
After the loss of the BJP in five state elections, recently, the relationship equation of AIADMK with the saffron party had changed. Initially, Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai was speaking openly against the Centre. Now, Rajenthra Bhalaji had joined Thambidurai in attacking Modi. In fact, Rajenthra Bhalaji was the first person in AIADMK camp to indirectly refer to Modi’s direct control over the state government. His speech sent shock waves in the government and the ruling party.
However, after the BJP started facing defeat, AIADMK cadres and the Ministers changed their stance against the Union government and it is evident from the recent press briefings.
Rajenthra Bhalaji said that the state is paying thousands of crores as GST tax but is not getting anything in return. We are not suspecting the administrative skills of Modi, but Tamil Nadu is not gaining anything out of it, he said.
“Modi is concentrating on North India and is continuously neglecting Tamil Nadu, a fact which is well known to the people,” he added.
