Man wearing helmet steals LPG cylinder, cops launch hunt

The police said that the thief was wearing a helmet to mask his identity. They have recovered CCTV camera footages from the locality and are combing through the footage to find any details like the registration number of his vehicle which may help the police identify the accused.

The issue came to light after Kodandaraman (47), a resident of Palandiamman Koil Street found an empty cooking gas cylinder which was kept outside his house was missing. On the same day, Sathyavasan (50) of the same locality also noticed his cylinder missing. 

They registered a complaint with the Adambakkam police. The police browsed the CCTV camera footages of the neighbourhood and found a man wearing helmet stealing the gas cylinders and escaping on his scooter. The Adambakkam police have registered a case and search is on to nab the accused.
