UK Dy High Commissioner calls on Kamal Haasan

Mike Vidler (Head of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office), Jeremy Pilmore- Bedford (British Deputy High Commissioner, Chennai) and Rudy Fernandes (Head Political Economic and Public Affairs) were also present during the meeting.

Actor-politician Kamal Haasan discussed with the delegates on the current political scenario in the state, as well as the relief work Makkal Needhi Maiam has undertaken in the aftermath of Cyclone Gaja.

“It was an impromptu meeting with no official agenda. Kamal sir wants to collaborate with the British High Commission in their attempts to aid in the progress of the city. They discussed the current political set up in Tamil Nadu and a few other issues they could contribute towards,” said a source from Kamal’s camp.
