Shelter for patients’ attendants opened in Srirangam GH

According to the officials, the shelter facility opened at the Srirangam GH will also be a great relief for several attendants of the patients who sleep on hospital building sidewalks and other places as they cannot afford to stay in hotels. One of the assistants would be staying near the patient and the other would find someplace near the hospital building or other locations. This new facility will help such people.

The Corporation Commissioner N Ravichandran assured that they will collect only a token amount for using the shelter facility. “It will be given for tender and we will collect only a token amount,” said the Commissioner.

Similarly, the Tiruchy civic body which has been successfully runningthe Wall of Happiness where the people can place the reusable materials for the needy have also opened the Wall of Happiness near Srirangam GH.

Currently, the city has the Wall of Happiness in two locations the first one is near Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital. This would be utilised by the needy people who can pick the used materials like dress and other articles from the Wall of Happiness, the Commissioner added.
