However, in the aftermath of the cyclone Gaja tragedy, the actor-turned-politician has strictly instructed members of his Rajini Makkal Mandram not to spend their money on items like crackers, cakes, cut-outs or posters and instead dedicate their time to relief activities. “Moreover, he wants everyone to be strictly focused for the political announcement on December 12; the day will also mark one year since his statement to enter politics.
After the announcement, there will be a lot of work to be done quickly by the Rajini Makkal Mandram members to prepare for the party launch. The celebrations can come afterwards,” reveals a source from his camp. However, after his appearance at Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam where Rajinikanth is expected to reveal his next step of action, the 67-year-old will spend his birthday with family members aside from a meeting with key functionaries of the RMM. The actor-politician recently faced flak for praising PM Narendra Modi in an interview, for which he is expected to give a rebuttal as well.
