Read Bharathiar’s poems: Rajini to youth

Speaking of his body of work, “I wouldn’t call Bharathiar just a poet, he is an intellectual according to me. He realised his potential back then itself. His works are immortal and even after many decades. He was a self-actualised individual. If we consider the greatness of Thiruvalluvar and Avvai, Bharathiar can be considered to be on par with them in the contemporary age.”As for his favourite lines penned by Bharathiar, he said, “I like the lines “Jaadhigal illayadi papa” and “Thani oruvanuku unavillaienil jagathinai azhithiduvom” from his works.” 

Addressing the youth, Rajinikanth added that if youngsters and students read the literary works of Thiruvalluvar, Avvai and Bharathiar, then they can lead their life successfully and happily.
