Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala, Lakshadweep, at many places over South interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh. Dry weather prevailed over Telangana and North interior Karnataka.
The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres in Tamil Nadu are: Rameswaram (Ramanathapuram Dist) 23, Valangaiman (Tiruvarur Dist) 19, Tiruvarur (Tiruvarur Dist), Nagapattinam (Nagapattinam Dist) 17 each, Papanasam (Thanjavur Dist), Pamban (Ramanathapuram Dist), NeeDamangalam (Tiruvarur Dist), Kumbakonam (Thanjavur Dist) 15 each, Kodavasal (Tiruvarur Dist) 14, Pandavaiyar head (Tiruvarur Dist) 12, Mannargudi (Tiruvarur Dist), Karaikal (Karaikal Dist) 11 each, Ariyalur (Ariyalur Dist), Trangambadi(or)tranqueb (Nagapattinam Dist), Madukkur (Thanjavur Dist), Nannilam (Tiruvarur Dist) 10 each, Chettikulam (Perambalur Dist).
