Tamil Nadu CM orders to release water from the Palaar dam for irrigation

In a press release, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy stated, "I have been receiving requests to release water from the Paalar-Porunthalar dam for irrigation. In response to their requests I have ordered to release water from the dam through the old river canal on 23rd of November."

"I am happy to announce that 4162 acres of land in the Pazhani circle would get irrigated. I request the farmers to use the water scrupulously and reap the fruits of the harvest thereby," he added.
