    After the Tamil movie 'Sarkar' was criticised by several politicians in Tamil Nadu, the director of the movie has moved the Madras High court on Friday for anticipatory bail.

    The producer of the movie has assured that the controversial dialogues will be muted during the upcoming screenings.

    Dialogues in the movie, allegedly imitating the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and criticising the state government for giving out freebies, were criticised by AIADMK leaders and supporters.

    Protests were held across the state while in Chennai, agitations were held outside Kasi theatre in, Woodlands theatre, and outside a private mall in Aminjikarai. A section of angry AIADMK supporters even tore the banners of 'Sarkar' and shouted slogans against actor Vijay.

    Director AR Murugadoss had earlier tweeted that Police tried to reach him out at his residence late in the night. "Police had come to my house late tonight and banged the door several times.Since I was not there they left the premises. Right now I was told there is no police outside my house.", Director  AR Murugadoss tweeted on Thursday.
