Speaking to a packed audience here, the star said that even if one arrives late, one must arrive prepared, which many interpreted to be a reference to his impending entry into politics.
The movie 2.0 has also faced delays in post-production with fans eagerly anticipating its arrival. Similarly, Rajinikanth’s launch of a political party has also seen delays. Drawing parallels between the two situations, Rajinikanth said, “The has been a lot of comments about the delay, with people asking, will it ever come out? Why has it taken so much time? Even if there has been a delay, if one is late, one must arrive prepared. When one does come, he must hit the target accurately.”
He added that he was only referring to the movie with a smile amid much applause from the audience.
Since Rajinikanth’s announcement to enter politics, the fan clubs of Rajinikanth across the state have been organised under a nodal body, the Rajini Makkal Mandram, which is expected to turn into a political party.
The actor’s brother Sathyanarayana has also said that an update on the party launch is imminent in December. There is also talk within the camp that Rajinikanth could be set for yet another short break to the US – for both health and political reasons – before the official launch.
