A 37-year-old man arrested on charge of murdering his father and released on bail recently as he was suspected to be mentally instable, committed suicide by hanging himself in his neighbour’s house at Tirupattur on Sunday night. Police said that Rajkumar (37), an unemployed man and son of Manoharan, a retired railway police SI, on April 15, again had a heated argument as the latter refused to give money for alcohol. Enraged by this, Raj Kumar stabbed his father and killed him on the spot. Later, he surrendered to the Tirupattur town police, who registered a case of murder and arrested him.
