Stating that he had seen the TV interview of the girl on Sunday, Palaniswami, in a statement here said, the government, which always cared for the welfare of the poor and the downtrodden sections by following the path laid down by late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, would take steps to ensure that the girl continued to pursue her B.A course in the Coimbatore Government Arts College and help her brother in pursuing his education at Thalavadi school. He said the government would bear the entire educational expenses of the duo and that an order has been passed to this effect.
