TN parties stand with devotees
In the backdrop of Centre issuing Sabarimala advisory, several parties, including the AIADMK have justified the protests by devotees and have urged the Kerala government and the temple authorities to respect public sentiment.

AIADMK ministers — who initially didn’t comment on the SC order — are now demanding peace at the hilly shrine. “Though the SC has given its verdict, the Kerala government should also respect sentiments of Ayyappa devotees,” Minister Rajenthra Bhalaji said.
BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan welcomed the devotees’ move to prevent the women from entering the sanctum. DMDK leader Premalatha Vijayakanth also urged the Kerala government to ensure that the age-old practices of the temples are not disturbed. PMK founder S Ramadoss, however, supported the verdict and said that the court order has to be implemented.
