According to a Corporation official, the civic body has taken drone photos of 80 per cent of the city and are carrying out a door-to-door survey simultaneously. “The photos was sent to Union Ministry of Defence for approval. Survey of the remaining parts will be completed before December.”
The estimate for setting up the mapping room in Amma Maligai was prepared. “Once we get approval from Defence Ministry, we have to create the map using the drone photos,” the official said.
“The GIS map will help in the error-free assessment of property tax apart from enabling us to implement civic development projects effectively,” the official said.
