OPS habitual betrayer, Dhinakaran strikes again

AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran on Saturday told reporters after meeting VK Sasikala in Bengaluru Parapana Agrahara prison that “Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam is not only exposed but now he is an isolated person in the party.”

The RK Nagar MLA also maintained that Panneerselvam met him last year on his own wish and not on the former’s invitation.

Dhinakaran had alleged on Friday that Panneerselvam met him in July last year and wanted to meet him again in September-end this year in a bid to “oust” Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami. He also claimed that Panneerselvam offered to make him the Chief Minister.

“If Panneerselvam has waged a ‘dharmayudham’ (battle for justice) against our family, then why did he meet me secretly?”asked Dhinakaran. “OPS wanted to sideline Palaniswami and become the chief minister, but after the truth is out, OPS is left only with rebuttal as a choice. And if he continues this, he will be exposed further, and I know how to make him admit,” Dhinakaran said.

“OPS tend to betray, and one should not forget that he voted against Palaniswami and then joined the same as Deputy Chief Minister,” Dhinakaran recalled. Asked if his aunt Sasikala now serving jail term, was aware of these developments, Dhinakaran said she told him that she saw the developments in TV and “laughed.”

It may be noted that Panneerselvam has denied Dhinakaran’s accusation that he wanted to remove Palaniswami and take over as the Chief Minister.

Responding to a question about joining forces with Palaniswami, Pannerselvam and some other AIADMK leaders, who have been critical of him, Dhinakaran said it would mean attempting suicide.

Meanwhile, BJP state unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan claimed some AMMK leaders had sent messages to meet leaders of the saffron party.

“Many days ago, those (leaders) from Dhinakaran’s party had sent messages saying they wanted to meet our party members,” she told reporters in Chennai when asked about the war of words between the AMMK leader and Panneerselvam.

Dhinakaran made light of Tamilisai’s claim and asked her to reveal the names of those who sent the messages.
