PMK warns govt of protests on Lokayukta
The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder Dr S Ramadoss warned the AIADMK government that it would resort to an agitation across the state if it failed to set up the anti-corruption body Lokayukta within a week.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, he alleged that the state government is cheating not only the people but also the Supreme Court by not setting up the Lokayukta.
He said the state Assembly had passed the Lokpal bill 83 days ago and still the present government has not taken any steps to eradicate corruption
by setting up of a Lokayukta.
Ramadoss said his party is fighting for the last five years with the state government on the issue and reminded that 22 states across the country had already set up the Lokayuktas.
The PMK founder said that the state government’s activities of not taking any efforts on the issue clearly shows right from the Chief Minister to all Ministers were allegedly involved in various scams and scandals.
He warned that his party would resort to an agitation on the 100th day of passage of Lokpal Bill in the Assembly.
