Tamilisai is a child in politics, needs training, says Duraimurugan

“Is she (Tamilisai) Queen Elizabeth? You cannot foist cases or arrest or assault a person for posing questions. What kind of democracy is this?” Duraimurugan wondered apparently referring to the assault of the auto driver and earlier arrest of research scholar Lois Sofia in Thoothukudi.

Recalling a famous incident involving his party’s ideological mentor Periyar, Duraimurugan said, “Periyar was once handed over a note in a public meeting, asking if his wife Nagammal belonged to all too? (Periyar was preaching socialism then). Periyar said, if possible, take her with you.”

“Tamilisai should get trained more in politics. I know her from her childhood days. She still remains a child. She needs to get trained,” Duraimurugan remarked, after chairing the agitation of the party condemning the corruption in the ruling AIADMK.

Joining the issue with her treasurer, DMK Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi suggested that Tamilisai Soundararajan should offer some medical help to her national secretary H Raja. 

“Tamilisai is a good doctor. She should offer some medical assistance to him (Raja),” Kanimozhi told media representatives after leading the agitation at Tindivanam. Asked if she meant that the BJP leader was mentally unstable, she added, “I only suggest that she could offer some medical help to him.” Kanimozhi herself was at the receiving end of H Raja’s rant not so long ago.
