Dad submits Sofia’s Indian passport
A Sami, father of Lois Sofia (28), who was recently arrested allegedly after raising anti-BJP slogan in an aircraft, which landed at Thoothukudi airport, submitted a photo copy of her Indian passport before Pudukottai police in Thoothukudi district on Friday evening.

Sami along with his lawyer approached the Pudukottai police station at 7.05 pm and handed over the passport copy and left the station at 7.20 pm, sources said. As part of investigation, the Pudukottai police three days ago summoned Sami to produce the passport in the police station. The expired passport, which was in possession, was also handed over to the police, sources said.
Trouble erupted when Sofia, who travelled on seat number 8, caught the attention of passengers after raising slogans on Tuesday.
Enraged by the act of Sofia,Tamilisai lodged a complain and Pudukkottai police filed a case under Sections 290 of IPC and 75 of Tamil Nadu City Police Act.
