    Rajinikanth issues booklet listing rules for members of mandram

    The nodal organisation that has come to represent all the fan clubs of Rajinikanth, the Rajini Makkal Mandram, has issued a booklet for all members containing rules to be followed. The 35-page booklet details dos and don’ts for members at all levels.

    The booklet was distributed among members with the stated aim of codifying the organisational structure and improving discipline among members. 

    Key specs are outlined with regard to membership and conduct of members. Not more than one person from each family can hold any office within the organisation. Those who are affiliated to any religious or caste-based outfits cannot be members of Rajini Makkal Mandram. Office bearers are to be chosen based on their present residential address. Only those who have been residing at a particular address for a fixed time period can become office bearers in that region. 

    There are also directives such as the use of the flag with the insignia of Rajini Makkal Mandram only during meeting and events by the organisation. Members are advised to refrain from using the flags at other times. The flag is also to be made of cloth and not plastic or non-biodegradables. 

    Members are not allowed to collect funds from the public without written permission from the head office. Members also cannot use the name of the organisation while airing personal views on social media. Members are also asked to refrain from using banners posters and advertisements for events without prior approval from the head office. The use of bouquets, shawls and other mementos during meetings is prohibited.

    With regard to interaction with the media, all communiqué will come from the head office. Members who violate any of the rules or come under complaints by other members will be referred to the disciplinary committee. Members will go through five stages of reprimands before being dismissed from the organisation.

    Anyone held for serious criminal offences cannot be members or hold any position in the organisation.

    Rajinikanth declared his intention to enter politics in December 31 last year. Since his announcement, the fan clubs of Rajinikanth across the state have been organised under a nodal body, the Rajini Makkal Mandram.
