Chennai
Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder leader Dr S Ramadoss on Monday demanded that Union government should work for the removal of the creamy layer concept in OBC reservation, as it against the principle of social justice.
In a press statement here, Dr Ramadoss said that the Union government is very particular for not giving a chance to avail social justice to the OBCs in job opportunities and because of the union government's anti social justice move 29 persons lost their opportunities of getting front line official post in IAS and IPs caders this year.
He said there is 27 per cent reservation for OBCs while recruiting candidates for Central government jobs. But this opportunity has not been fully given to the OBCs. He added the children of those working in private companies and earning Rs 8 lakh per annum are being considered as part of the creamy layer and denied reservation benefits.
Dr Ramadoss said that the Union is taking census about the people, who are in creamy layer and they are including those, who are not earning Rs 8 lakhs, also as a part of creamy layer.
