Asian Games 2018: TN CM announces Rs 20 lakh reward for Dipika, Joshna and Saurav Ghoshal

TN Chief Minister Palaniswami said that Dipika Karthik, Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghoshal will be rewarded with Rs 20 lakh each for securing bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games.

Saurav Ghoshal snatched defeat from the jaws of victory as led 2-0 before going 2-3 to Hong Kong’s Chung Ming Au in the semi final of the Men’s Individual squash event at the Asian Games.

Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Joshana Chinappa also settled for the bronze medal in women’s squash after a brief fight against their respective Malaysian rivals, who proved too strong for the Indians earlier in the day before Saurav.
