Son kills music teacher in Vellore, held

Police said Ashok Kumar, a singer in local orchestra groups and a music teacher, was married to Tanuja Kumari (48). They have two sons Prateeswaran and Prasad (20). While the former was working in a private company in Chennai, the latter who had just completed his studies was not employed. 

Police said the father-son duo got into an argument on Thursday night, which resulted in Prateeswaran assaulting Ashok Kumar with an iron road. Ashok Kumar died on the spot. On information, police rushed to the victim’s house and sent the body to the Walajapet district headquarters hospital for post-mortem. They are interrogating the accused as well as his brother and mother. Further investigations are under way.
