Ganja smuggler from Tamil Nadu on run held in Karnataka
A notorious ganja smuggler, who was on the run for several years, was arrested by Coimbatore police from Karnataka on Friday.

According to police, Balaji, 44, a native of Dindigul was involved in more than 15 cases of ganja smuggling and for running prostitution rackets. “He was also wanted in connection with the seizure of 216 kg of ganja in RS Puram, 220 kg in Peelamedu and 35 kg in Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore. He was also booked for flesh trade by Big Bazaar Street, Kuniamuthur and Saravanampatty stations,” police said.
Police said Balaji was supplying ganja sourced from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. “With his arrest, we will be able to crack down on his large network,” said a policeman.
