According to the sources in Southern railway, it is said, that the train had received a poor patronage from the commuters and so they had limited the train with three compartments in due course of time.Â
Still the officials reportedly found that it was not profit making and so they had initially announced to cancel the train for a certain period. If there was no opposition, either from the public or from the commuters, it would be cancelled for ever, said another source from the railways.
Meanwhile, the public claimed that the train had lost its patronage due to excess time consuming. They claimed that the train takes around three hours to cover the 72.32 km distance which would be reached hardly by one and a half hour. Moreover, it is the railways to appoint the personnel for operation of the service. But this particular train does not even possess a gateman.
