EPS gets invite for investors meet
The Tamil business fraternity aims at securing investment exceeding Rs 1,000 crore in the fifth World Tamils Economic Conference to be held at Puducherry, said VG Santhosham, Chairman, VGP Group of Companies, Chennai, on Monday.

Delegates from the Committee met Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and invited him to inaugurate the firth World Tamils Economic Conference to be held from October 11 to 15.Â
While addressing reporters following the interaction, Santhosham, accompanied by fellow businessmen, said that the World Tamils Economic Conference is a platform to unite businessmen from Tamil community across the world and in the fifth edition of the conference many Tamil leaders from across the world will participate.Â
When asked the target fixed for the conference he replied that they are expecting investment in excess of Rs 1,000 crore. He also said that in the third World Tamil Economic Conference, held in Chennai, the investment crossed Rs 1,350 crore. When asked whether Palaniswami agreed to inaugurate the conference, he replied they are confident that he will inaugurate the conference.
