Rajinikanth dials Stalin, likely to visit hospital today
Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth, who is currently shooting in Darjeeling for his next film with Karthik Subbaraj, is expected to reach Chennai on Tuesday to visit ailing DMK supremo Kalaignar Karunanidhi and enquire about his health.

The superstar had earlier spoken over the phone with DMK working president MK Stalin to give his best wishes for Karunanidhi’s recovery and also asked for details on the treatment administered to the former chief minister.
A source from the 67-year-old’s camp said, “Yes, he is expected to call on Karunanidhi at Kauvery Hospital and he will stay on in Chennai for sometime now. The shooting schedule will happen in Chennai next, which will also let him find time to administer activities of the Rajini Makkal Mandram.”
Party likely in January
Rajinikanth’s party launch is still in the works, and is reportedly only happening next year during the month of January, coinciding with the auspicious Pongal season in Tamil Nadu. He announced his decision to compete in politics on December 31 last year.
