Rajini Makkal Mandram Theni secretary, deputy secretary face action

In a communiqué from N Illavarasan, the head of the disciplinary committee of the Rajini Makkal Mandram on Sunday, it was revealed that action was taken against district secretary Jayapushparaj and deputy secretary Pon Siva following a complaint made by the secretary of the women’s Wing. Further details on the nature of the complaint were not revealed.

R Ganeshan and T Occhathevar have been appointed to the post of Theni secretary and deputy secretary respectively. 

Rajinikanth declared his intention to enter politics in December 31 last year. Since his announcement, the fan clubs of Rajinikanth across the state have been organised under a nodal body the Rajini Makkal Mandram. 

Over the past seven months, the recruitment of members and appointment of office-bearers for various posts have been completed under the supervision of state secretary Raju Mahalingam and chief co-ordinator VM Sudhakar.

A disciplinary action committee has also been constituted to look into any violations by members of the Mandram.
