DMK supporters gather in front of M Karunanidhi’s residence, security beefed up

Following the news about DMK supremo M Karunanidhi’s ill health, the party members have been gathering in front of his home. To contain the crowd, armed security force from St Thomas Mount and Pudhupet has been beefed up in Gopalapuram. DMK deputy chief VP Duraisami on Friday said that M Karunanidhi was recovering well following the treatment.

After Kauvery hospital issued a press release about the former Chief Minister, various political personalities including Makkal Neethi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan and VCK party chief Thol. 

Thirumavalavan, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam visited the DMK chief on Thursday night at his Gopalapuram residence.

Kauvery hospital on Thursday released a statement saying that M Karunanidhi was getting treated for fever following urinary tract infection and the hospital also restricted people from visiting the DMK supremo.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to twitter and stated that he spoke to DMK working president Stalin and Kanimozhi about M Karunanidhi.
