Students who opted to write NEET in Tamil to get 196 grace marks for mistakes in Tamil question paper: HC
The common medical entrance examination was conducted on May 6, 2018.

According to reports, the Madurai bench of Madras High Court on Tuesday ordered CBSE to provide 196 grace marks for students who appeared for NEET examinations in Tamil.
This decision had been taken following reports on incorrect translations from English to Tamil in the question papers. The Court passed this order while hearing petition filed by Communist party MP, Rangarajan.
The HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar had recently announced that the Newly formed National Testing Agency (NTA) would- now conduct the national- level examinations -- NET, NEET, JEE (Mains) -- that were organised by the CBSE. National Eligibility Test (NET) would be conducted in December and JEE (Mains) twice a year, in January and April. NEET would be conducted in February and May, the minister said.
NET, a qualifying test for admission in higher educational institutions in the country, would be the first exam to be conducted by the newly formed body.
The NTA would also conduct National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test(GPAT), Javadekar said.
