TN SCERT to develop CCE worksheets from Class 1 to 10

Accordingly, SCERT has planned to develop CCE worksheets for Class 1, Class 6 and Class 9, based on the new textbooks to be implemented this year. SCERT sources here said this would benefit 30 lakh children studying in the government and the government aided schools in the state. “As the RTE Act 2009 mandates the practice of CCE, the state has resolved to introduce it,” a senior SCERT official said. He said the material will be developed with wide consultations with subject experts, practitioners and educationists in a series of meetings.

The official said SCERT involved along with District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) faculty members, Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTEs) and teachers are in the preparation of CCE worksheets.

SCERT has given training to the educationists in preparation of worksheets through experts from the Central Institute of Indian languages and SCERT experts.
